Yá'át'ééh (hello), and welcome. My name is Elvira. I’m Diné (Navajo) my clan is Bįįh bitoodnii (Deer Spring). Making jewelry has been a significant part of my life. My grandmother taught me how to make jewelry from a very young age. Some of my earliest memories are sitting under a juniper tree, making jewelry with her. In 2016, I created the Instagram page Turquoise Mafia to share the jewelry I made for my family and friends. In 2017, it became a business. Today, I can pursue my joy of creating jewelry with natural stones and shells while I devote my time to my children. It’s important to me that I create jewelry that is affordable to those who honor and value the beauty of my people’s legacy. My goal for Turquoise Mafia is to make the world a happy place one beautiful treasure at a time. Ahéhee' (thank you) for stopping by.
